130 DRIVERS RACE IN ROUND 7

130 DRIVERS RACE IN ROUND 7

The Daytona DMAX Championship made its annual visit to Whilton Mill over the weekend of the 18/19th August – and saw 130 drivers race across the six classes, despite the impact of Summer Holidays.

The Northamptonshire weather threatened rain a few times through the morning as the endurance races took place but the track remained dry and the amazingly close qualifying times paid testament to Daytona’s kart preparation and the high standard of drivers. In the Heavy Endurance qualifying the entire grid was split by just 1.7 seconds!

Similarly close racing was enjoyed across the Lights and Inters with one second splitting the top 16 drivers in each class and, if anything, the Heats races in the afternoon saw even closer lap times!

The Race Results and Champs Standings are already online and photos and video highlights will be published on the DMAX website later this week.

Daytona would like to congratulate the podium finishers across the classes for rising to the top despite the close competition – and we look forward to Round 8 at Clay Pigeon Raceway in Dorset over the weekend of 15/16th September. Call us on 03303327870 to reserve your space on the grid now.
